Darkroom Facilities
CTL self service rental darkroom for the facilitation of dry to dry photographic printing.
RA4 colour printing up to 24x20"
B&W resin coated printing up to 16x12"
There are 5 darkrooms available for rental. Each darkroom is equipped with 2 enlargers - an enlarger that can support film formats up to 5x4 along side a second enlarger with dedicated use for pre-flashing paper.
Each darkroom booking will be provided with an easel, contact printer, the appropriate lenses and masks for your film format and a focus finder.
Shared dry to dry printing facilities equipped with a RA4 paper processor and a B&W resin coated paper processor.
There are shared facilities for air blowing, negative handling, print viewing, print trimming, light boxes and viewing booths for the consistent judgement of prints.

Darkroom paper stock can be limited - if you would like to pre-purchase your paper for your darkroom rental session please contact us at hello@comethroughlab.com so we can manage stock levels to meet your needs.
Darkroom FAQ
What are your rental rates?
Darkrooms are available to rent for a full day (8 hours) or a half day (4 hours).
- Full day (8 hours) - £100.00
- Half day (4 hours) - £50.00
Can I provide my own darkroom paper?
Yes you may provide your own RA4 colour paper for printing as well as your own B&W resin coated paper - please note we do not facilitate the processing of B&W fibre based papers.
Do you offer workshops?
We are not currently offering darkroom workshops, but intend to be facilitating this on a 1-2-1 and group basis in the future. To register your interest please contact us at hello@comethroughlab.com
Are there any wet printing facilities?
All our printing is done using dry to dry paper processing machines, as such we are unable to accommodate any wet tray printing at this time.
Can I use the darkroom to develop my own film?
No the darkroom is for producing darkroom prints only, we offer a comprehensive range of a photographic processing services in our lab.
